This page explains how Private Plating manages enquiries and bookings. Please read it before submitting an enquiry.
1. Enquiries
Submitting an enquiry through the Private Plating website does not automatically confirm a booking.
We will review your enquiry and contact you to discuss availability, the experience, menu, location, guest numbers and any other relevant requirements.
A booking is only confirmed once Private Plating has confirmed the booking and any required payment or deposit has been received.
2. Pricing
Private Plating experiences are subject to the minimum booking requirements shown on the website. Where an experience has a specific stated price or exception, that stated price applies.
Final pricing may vary depending on the selected experience, number of guests, menu requirements, location and any agreed additional services. Any final price will be confirmed with you before the booking is confirmed.
3. Menus
Menus shown on the website are examples only.
Private Plating may tailor menus according to the occasion, guest requirements, dietary requirements, ingredient availability and the agreed experience. Final menu details will be confirmed with the client before the event.
4. Dietary Requirements and Allergies
Guests must provide accurate information about dietary requirements and allergies when making an enquiry or booking.
Private Plating will take reasonable steps to accommodate confirmed dietary requirements. However, customers should notify Private Plating of any serious allergies or medical dietary requirements before the booking.
Because food preparation involves multiple ingredients and environments, Private Plating cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment unless this has been specifically discussed and agreed in advance.
5. Location
Private Plating primarily services Brisbane, the Gold Coast and selected South East Queensland locations.
Additional travel or destination locations may be considered by arrangement and may incur additional charges.
6. Changes to a Booking
Any changes to the date, location, guest numbers, menu or experience should be requested as early as possible.
Changes are subject to availability and may result in a change to the agreed price.
7. Booking Agreement
The final quote and booking agreement will set out the commercial terms that apply to your event before the booking is confirmed.
Where relevant, this may include the payment schedule, balance due date, cancellation and rescheduling arrangements, guest-number confirmation deadline, travel, staffing or equipment charges, dietary and allergy requirements, client responsibilities and the process if Private Plating cannot perform the agreed booking.
The specific terms for an event are not accepted merely by submitting an enquiry; they are provided as part of the quote and booking process.
8. Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellation and refund terms will be confirmed as part of the booking process.
Any deposit, payment or cancellation fee will be subject to the terms provided to the client at the time of booking.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Australian consumer guarantees apply automatically to applicable services.
9. Service Changes
Private Plating may need to make reasonable changes to a menu or service due to ingredient availability, supplier issues, venue conditions, safety requirements or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Where a significant change is required, we will discuss an appropriate alternative with the client.
10. Customer Responsibilities
The client is responsible for providing accurate information about the event, including:
- Event date and time
- Location
- Number of guests
- Dietary requirements and allergies
- Relevant venue restrictions
- Any other information reasonably required to provide the experience
11. Australian Consumer Law
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
For major failures with the service, you are entitled to cancel your service contract and receive a refund for the unused portion, or compensation for its reduced value. You are also entitled to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
For a minor failure, you are entitled to have the problem rectified within a reasonable time. If this is not done, you may have further rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
12. Website Information
We aim to ensure that information displayed on the Private Plating website is accurate and current.
Menus, photographs and descriptions may represent examples of experiences and are not necessarily an exact representation of every booking.
13. Privacy
Personal information submitted through the website is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
By submitting an enquiry, you acknowledge that you have read our Privacy Policy.
14. $200 Event Offer
The $200 Private Plating website offer is available for new private events with six or more guests that are booked by 25 December 2026.
The offer is subject to availability, final quote and booking terms. Reserving the offer or submitting an enquiry does not confirm a booking. Private Plating may verify eligibility before applying the offer.
15. Changes to These Terms
Private Plating may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The latest version will be published on this website.
